ALTAI EXPEDITIONS IN WESTERN MONGOLIA
Join us for customized, guided, small group tours created for adventurous world travelers
Explore a great variety of activities including hiking, horseback riding, mountaineering, fly fishing, jeep tours as well as a home stay tour with the Kazakh Nomads in the vast, breathtaking wilderness of Western Mongolia's Altai Mountains
We have prepared a number of pre-set tours which, from our experience, will appeal to most of our guests. Group size is usually limited to about ten. The duration of most tours is approximately one week to ten days. We will also be pleased to organize special tours for small groups with similar interests.
Most of our tours have been prepared for adults, but if you would like to share this experience with your children or grandchildren, we welcome them, and will make special arrangements, if necessary. We suggest that children be at least ten years of age.

Our tour season runs from early June to late September, with the Golden Eagle Tour coinciding with the late September Kazakh Eagle Festival.
All staff are members of one of the Kazakh tribes which have lived, for centuries, in the westernmost part of Mongolia named Bayan-Ulgii. All staff members grew up in the Altai Mountains as livestock herders, in the very same extended families who will welcome you into their homes and communities as their guests.
